Bimetal Disc Thermostat From Fenwal Controls

Bimetal Disc Thermostat from Fenwal Controls

Bimetal disc thermostats serve as the actuating element in these rugged, precision thermostats. As the temperature reaches the tamper-proof predetermined set point, the bimetal disc thermostat snaps to provide rapid, positive contact action minimizing radio frequency interference. These thermostats are individually calibrated and tested to meet both thermal and electrical characteristics. The single contact switch arm assembly minimizes failures due to contact contamination, while the fine silver contacts assure long life and excellent current carrying capacity.

SERIES 08-02 bimetal disc thermostats feature current capacities up to 12A at 240VAC measuring .350" in height. An optional epoxy seal provides additional protection against contamination.

SERIES 08-03 units are designed for high temperature applications up to 550°F/288°C. The ceramic base material and stainless steel cap provide excellent resistance to high temperature environments and keep the switch assembly free from dust and foreign particles.

SERIES 08-80 high temperature probe-type thermostats are designed specifically for applications where high temperature exposure, hermeticity and vibration resistance are required. A snap-acting, thermostat, mounted in the tip of the probe, provides fast thermal response and rapid, positive contact action when the preset temperature is reached. The probes are of all welded, stainless steel construction with glass to metal seals to ensure hermeticity. Switch design and construction provide high vibration and shock resistance sufficient to meet MIL-STD-202, Method 204, Condition D. High contact force and the excellent wiping action of the contacts combine to make the probe suitable for light loads of 100 milliamperes or less.

SERIES 08-81 low temperature probe-type thermostats are designed specifically for applications where hermeticity and vibration resistance are required. Snap-acting, bimetal disc thermostats, mounted in the tip of the probe, provides fast thermal response and rapid, positive contact action when the preset temperature is reached.
