Surface Mount Thermostats From Fenwal

Surface Mount Thermostats from Fenwal

Surface Mount Thermostats, offered by Fenwal, include custom temperature settings up to 525° F and virtually any type of termination. These surface mount thermostats are individually calibrated and tested to meet both thermal and electrical characteristics and can be factory preset up to 525° F. Featuring a snap-acting bimetallic disc as the actuating element, these rugged surface mount thermostats have silver contacts to assure long life and can be equipped with solder lugs, wiring eyelets and quick-connect style terminations and various mounting configurations.

Available with normally closed or normally open contacts, these surface mount thermostats are Underwriters Laboratory (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Consumer Electronics (CA) approved. They are suitable for multiple uses up to 100,000 cycles, and meet MIL-STD-202 for vibration and shock resistance. They are also available in automatic and manual reset versions with contact ratings up to 25 Amps, depending upon configuration.

The SERIES 08-01 is a low profile surface mount thermostat, measuring only .250" high with a current carrying capacity of 7A. The switching mechanism assures good contact wiping action, making it particularly suitable for light loads.

The SERIES 08-02 surface mount thermostats feature current capacities up to 12A at 240VAC measuring .350" in height. An optional epoxy seal provides additional protection against contamination.

The SERIES 08-03 surface mount thermostats are designed for high temperature applications up to 550°F/288°C. The ceramic base material and stainless steel cap provide excellent resistance to high temperature environments and keeps the switch assembly free from dust and foreign particles

A snap-acting bimetal disc serves as the actuating element in these rugged, precision thermostats. As the temperature reaches the tamper-proof predetermined set point, the disc snaps to provide rapid, positive contact action minimizing radio frequency interference. These thermostats are individually calibrated and tested to meet both thermal and electrical characteristics. The single contact switch arm assembly minimizes failures due to contact contamination, while the fine silver contacts assure long life and excellent current carrying capacity.
