Flame Sensor Rods
Integrated into Gas Ignition System

Flame Sensor Rods
Integrated into Gas Ignition System.

Flame senor rods, spark ignition systems or a combination of both, can be incorporated in a variety of sizes and configurations, for Fenwal direct spark ignition control systems.

A full range of low-cost electrode assemblies with flame sensor can be custom configured to meet specific OEM direct spark and hot surface gas ignition system requirements are available from Fenwal.

Custom fabricated to position the spark gap precisely and meet other design requirements, they can use Steatite or alumina ceramics for applications up to 1,800°F and the flame sensor rods can be made from Kathal D, Kathal Al, stainless steel, and other specialty metals.

Available with brackets made from copper flash or nickel plated cold rolled steel in various shapes and sizes, Fenwal Electrode Assemblies can be supplied with embedded lead wires to virtually any length and rajah (spark plug type) connectors and quick-disconnects. They can be produced in hundreds to millions of pieces per year, depending upon complexity.

Fenwal products using flame sensor rod technology includes, but not limited to the Series 35-60 24VAC Microprocessor-Based Direct Spark Ignition Control System.

Features of the Series 35-60 include: System diagnostic LEDs, Automatic reset 1 hour after lockout, Multiple tries, Custom prepurge and interpurge timings, Remote of local sensing, and Flame sensor test pins.

Application for the Series 35-60 24VAC Microprocessor-Based Direct Spark Ignition Control System include: Gas Furnaces, Boilers, Water Heaters, Commercial Cooking and other similar appliances.
