Immersion Thermostat Solutions from Fenwal Controls

Immersion thermostats, sometimes called probe type thermostats are designed for direct insertion into the medium being sensed. The bimetal disc of the thermostat is enclosed in the tip of the probe to provide fast thermal response and rapid, positive contact action at the preset temperature.

From the simple to the sophisticated, from mechanical to electronic, Fenwal offers a full range of rugged, precision temperature controls and immersion thermostat products for high-limit and thermal control applications. Many of these controllers have proven themselves in demanding applications for decades.

SERIES 08-81
Precision High Temperature
Snap Disc Immersion Thermostat
These high temperature immersion thermostats are designed specifically for applications where hermeticity and vibration resistance are required. All welded stainless steel construction and hermetically sealed contact area combined with individual calibration and factory test, issure the highest level of reliability for a wide range of applications.

In addition, each thermostat will work in harsh environment s with vibration & shock resistant sufficient ratings to meet MIL-STD-202, Method 204, Condition D. Further, high contact force and excellent wiping action of the contacts combine to make the probe suitable for light loads of 100 milliamperes or less.

SERIES 08-81
Precision Low Temperature
Snap Disc Immersion Thermostat
These low temperature immersion thermostats are designed specifically for applications where hermeticity and vibration resistance are required. A snap-acting, bimetal disc, mounted in the tip of the probe, provides fast thermal response and rapid, positive contact action when the preset temperature is reached.

Each immersion thermostats is of all welded, stainless steel construction with glass to metal seals to ensure hermeticity. Switch design and construction provide high vibration and shock resistance. High contact force and the excellent wiping action of the contacts combine to make the probe suitable for light loads of 100 milliamperes or less.

Features of the Series 08-81 include: UL Component Recognized and CSA Certified, 100% Factory Temperature Tested, Hermetically Sealed, Shock and Vibration Resistant, Tamper-Proof, Preset Temperature and Calibrated Settings from 10 to 350°F (-12 to +177°C).
