Fenwal 35-63J Gas Ignition Controls: Drop-in replacement for Johnson Controls Series G77X.

Fenwal Controls, responding to market demands from gas-fired appliance and equipment OEMs and aftermarket distributors, has introduced the Fenwal 35-6xJ Series to directly replace discontinued Johnson Controls Series G76x Direct Spark and G77x Intermittent Pilot Gas Ignition Controls.

Fenwal Series 35-60J, 24 VAC direct spark ignition control, can directly replace Johnson Controls Series G76x.  Fenwal Series 35-63J, 24 VAC intermittent pilot (spark-to-pilot) ignition control, can directly replace Johnson Controls Series G77x.  Both Fenwal 35-6XJ Series controls match the footprint, mounting pattern and wiring connections of the discontinued Johnson Control models, and provide the excellent flame sense signal and high spark energy Fenwal is known for.

35-60J DSI and 35-63J IP models control the pilot and main gas valves, fire the spark electrode and continuously monitor the flame to safely ignite and operate LP or natural gas fired equipment. Should the flame not be proven within the trial-for-ignition time, the control goes into lockout.  Reset from lockout is either automatic after 5 minutes or by recycling the thermostat.  Diagnostic blink codes from the on-board LED follow standard Fenwal protocol to simplify troubleshooting. 

Fenwal Series 35-60J DSI and 35-63J IP direct replacements for Johnson Controls Series G76x and G77x are CSA approved and listed, and are ideal for a wide range of applications including commercial cooking equipment, HVAC, radiant/infrared heaters, boilers, and furnaces.  The small footprint is also useful in applications where space is limited.  Both standard models match the Johnson Controls ignition control timing sequence, and customized timings for new applications are available.
